I love advent calendars, I think its a brilliant way to get in the christmas spirit every day of december.

When you go into the shops now there’s SO many different types of advents, I don’t remember the choice being so vast when I was a child… unless my mum was just holding back on us? Seeing some of the prices I wouldn’t blame her.

Advent Calendars are no longer just for kids, my favourite alternative advent calendars for 2017

Adult –

I love stationery so this advent calendar is one for me.

For the risk taker;

I love Jelly Belly beans, they are definitely the best out there.. how do they make that better? Adding gross flavours haha. Have you ever tried Bean Boozled?

For the kids;

My 7 year old self would have LOVED this calendar, I went through a stage of collecting rubbers (erasers) and they had their own pencil case and were NEVER used.

I love advents that end up a whole play set at the end, the Playmobil ones come in so many different themes you should be able to find one to suit all little ones.

  1. A couple of years ago I bought a little house advent calendar from the Disney shop – each day is a little drawer and you fill them with little tiny gifts. I LOVE putting everything in and it’s so much more personal (and healthy, I suppose haha) than a chocolate calendar
