It’s been about 8 weeks since I announced the pregnancy on the blog. A lot has changed (My size mainly) and a lot is still the same still, the tiredness!
Since our last little update we’ve had a fair few appointments. Midwife, Consultant and not 1 but 2 growth scans – all of which have gone well.
I’m still planning on trying for a VBAC ( vaginal birth after cesarean) and the consultant is on my side with the decision thankfully.
I’ve been suffering with aches and pains, especially in the night but since getting my Dreamgenii pregnancy pillow i’ve felt much better.
The constant need to pee when there’s nothing there has reared its ugly head again which hasn’t been fun and the baby brain is still going strong. I’ve had two big travel nightmares which has left Pops and I waiting for the bus for over an hour because I couldn’t work out which I needed. In my defence Welsh travel is pretty pants.
Acid or heartburn (I’m not sure what the difference is) has been a nightmare. Pretty much everything sets it off and it’s so uncomfortable. Tips on how to ease it are VERY welcome.
At 37 weeks I am now technically full term, which is a bit of a relief because the whole way through this pregnancy i’ve been anxious about Little Bear coming early, premature early. I am in no rush for baby to come even with the pains and acid discomfort.
Pops seems to be ready to have baby out… mainly so she can see if it’s a cat or tree. She’s really got her heart set on a cat. I’m not sure how she will react when she see’s a baby instead of a cat!
I feel a little more prepared compared to last week (bags are still not fully packed but im getting there) and our weekends have been a mix of sorting the house and enjoying days out with Pops before baby comes.
Still so much to do and so little time. Stay put for a little longer baby… please.
Until the next post,
Are and Pops.
